Phang Nga Bay
Limestone cliffs, sea caves and the famous James Bond Island.
About Phang Nga Bay
Phang Nga Bay is a huge, sheltered bay of emerald water and towering limestone islands between Phuket and the mainland. Its most famous sight is Khao Phing Kan, known as "James Bond Island" after it appeared in a 1974 film.
Day trips explore sea caves and hidden lagoons by canoe, and many visit the stilted fishing village of Koh Panyee. Several boat trips leave from piers on Phuket's quiet north-east coast, a short drive from the airport.
Driving to the pier
From the airport, drive south on Route 402 and turn east towards Ao Po. Follow the signs to Ao Po Grand Marina. Your tour ticket shows the exact pier.
One of the main departure points for Phang Nga Bay tours on Phuket's north-east coast. Some tours also leave from other piers – check your ticket.
