Picking up your Thrifty car: step by step
- Land and collect your bagsRental desks and meeting points are after customs. Switch your phone on – the supplier may call or message if they meet you.
- Go to the Thrifty deskPhuket Airport – Domestic Terminal, arrivals hall.
- Show your documentsLicence, International Driving Permit, passport, credit card in the main driver's name and your voucher. The deposit is blocked on the card.
- Check the carWalk round the car with the staff member, film a slow video and make sure every mark is written on the damage sheet. Check the fuel level.
- Drive awayFollow the exit signs to Route 402 – south for Phuket Town and the beaches, north for the mainland.
Returning the car
Follow the "Car Rental Return" signs on the airport approach road and allow about 30 minutes before you need to check in. Return the car with the agreed fuel level and keep the last fuel receipt. Ask for a signed return slip; the deposit is released to your card after the check, which can take a few working days.
