About Patong Beach

Patong is Phuket's busiest and best-known beach town. The long sandy bay is lined with hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and water-sports operators.

After dark, Bangla Road becomes the centre of the island's nightlife. A car is most useful for day trips out of Patong rather than for getting around town.

Getting there by car

Drive south on Route 402, then turn west onto Route 4029 through Kathu and over Patong Hill into town.
